Welcome, My name is Rich Copeland and I am an "on location" Photographer.  As a photographer, my main passion usually lies with outdoor and nature photography although I do not have limits to what I shoot.  See Services Offered for a list of what I offer. Photography is actually my second career, I was in architecture for over ten years but I have always loved being behind the camera.

     For the last six years or so I have phased out the dark room and now mainly shoot digital.  I find that digital quality is now very good and there is less than half the production time involved.  As far as the studio goes, I do not have a fixed studio as I have learned that the cold sterile environment just doesn't fit the style of photography I feel captures the true nature of people.  I think on location shoots just have a more natural feel to them. 

For example:

     You want a photo for a christmas card. These are not as expensive as you might think and a great way to keep friends and family updated.

One scenario might be:  you all stand together in front of some cloth on a wall or a green screen for the photo. Then to which I'll later add a background that might suit the occasion.

That doesn't sound to bad right?  Well lets add the time it takes to get the kids ready and/or pack the baby gear, load everyone in the car and get to the studio. Oh yea then we need to get you all preped and then the baby needs changing the kids are restless and, wow I'm getting stressed just typing this. 

     Or, I come to your house or favorite location and get the shot in front if the fireplace, stairwell, back yard bridge, or any background you feel just captures the moment you are looking for.  Less stress and I do all the work.

     Wait there is more! For those pet lovers, they can be in the photo also.

     Having a family reunion?  I'd love to help get those photos of the grandparents and childern enjoying the event.  Let me do the work while you just sit back and enjoy.
